NEWS AND EVENTS
AUGUST 9 The
Quicks are happy to announce the addition of their newest group
member, Justin Greer. Justin is from Lawrenceville, GA and is
a very talented singer and musician. Since he and Rebecca were
engaged earlier this year, he has had the opportunity to not only
get to know the family better, but the ministry of The Quicks as
well. "Tim and I, and of course Rebecca, are very excited
about bringing Justin on board," says Sally. "He is a gifted
young man and more importantly has a heart for worship."
Justin has begun traveling with The Quicks in addition to his recent
appointment as worship leader at MTSU Alpha Omega College
Ministries, where he ministers to this group each Wednesday at their
mid-week service.

AUGUST 4 Tim, Sally, and Rebecca will be in the studio for the next two days finishing vocals for the long-awaited Hymn album. The group is so excited about finishing the project and singing these songs! The Quicks previewed one of the songs from The Quicks - HYMNS at the 2010 SGN Fanfest recently in Nashville, TN. You can see this and other Quick videos on www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh5gik3UqW8. The family will also be doing a photo shoot in Nashville on Friday, adding Justin to the mix!
JULY 14 "Oh
where, oh where has her wisdom gone. Oh where, oh where could
it be?" Rebecca finally has one of those dreaded life events
behind her after getting her wisdom teeth removed yesterday!
On the docket for today... movies and ice cream! No singing
for The Quicks this weekend. After a rocky couple of hours
following surgery, she has been doing much better.
JULY 1 The Quicks - HYMNS has been one of the most exciting recordings the family has ever been a part of! Tim, Sally, and Rebecca finished another day of vocals yesterday just in time to find out the orchestrations have been completed as well! All that is left on the music tracks is a big band arrangement from Steve Mauldin for the "Quick" version of Love Lifted Me... like you've NEVER heard it before! Stay in touch for updates on The Quicks - HYMNS!

MAY 25 Tim and Sally had a busy Saturday beginning with their daughter Rachel making a trip to Stonecrest Medical Center. Aaron and Rachel were coming through for a stopover on their way to East Tennessee when Rachel began to have contractions early Saturday morning. The medical team at Stonecrest was successful in stopping the contractions and Rachel was released that night. We have informed "baby Zoe" that she had better behave and wait until her due date in August! Saturday was also Rebecca's 21st birthday, so she ended up opening gifts in the parking lot of the hospital. Poor Beck! Well, for those of you that know Rebecca, she made the most of the day and we actually celebrated off and on all weekend. Pictures coming soon. Rachel and Aaron (AND Zoe) are back home in Louisville no longer on bed rest, but with strict instructions to take it easy. Please remember them in prayer.
MAY 10 The Quicks have enjoyed utilizing the training techniques of producer Tom Jackson for many years. As quoted from the Onstage Success website, Tom Jackson, the #1 Live Music Producer in music today, helps artists develop their show into “unique memorable moments.” The Quicks were recently mentioned at Onstage Success at http://onstagesuccess.com/2010/05/dancing-deacons-replace-the-pips.
Check out the fun! Also, you Smyrna folks will probably recognize the gentleman in the white slacks. That is none other than our principal, Mr. Raikes!MAY 5 As you may have heard, recent flash flooding in Tennessee has resulted in loss of life and major property damage. The Quicks are able to report that we suffered no loss due to the storms, and only faced some difficulty getting home from a homecoming this past Sunday in Lawrenceburg. We did witness cars getting flooded on side streets as we drove back to Smyrna. The Grand Ole Opry and Opryland Hotel were badly damaged in addition to many homes and businesses in the Middle Tennessee area. Amidst all the bad news, the one bright side is the way the good people of Nashville are pitching in to help others. We are happy to add that our record promoter Rick Hendrix is spearheading relief effort. Please continue to pray!
APRIL 19 Tim and Sally are excited to let everyone know that their daughter Rachel is expecting a little girl, due Sept 2! Rachel and Aaron have decided to name her Zoe Anne (after Rachel Anne) and Sally has already started buying clothes for little Zoe! Please continue to pray for the health of Rachel and Zoe. The family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of this little blessing!
FEB 20 NASHVILLE, TN (Press Release) Tim and Sally Quick of The Quicks are happy to announce the recent engagement of their daughter, Rebecca, to Justin Greer of Lawrenceville, GA! Rebecca and Justin are both Recording Industry majors at Middle Tennessee State University, where they met just over a year ago. “Tim and I are very happy and are confident that Justin was God's choice in God's time for Beck,” says Sally. No date has been set at this time - the couple plans to graduate MTSU first, where they will both be seniors this fall.

We hope you all enjoyed our rendition of White Christmas, via chipmunk style! It is always our pleasure to try to help you enjoy life while plowing through its challenges. If you have not seen it yet, you can view it HERE!As we continue work on the Hymn album - finishing the vocal arrangements and learning our parts - the message in these wonderful songs of the church seem to carry much more weight to me than they did when we first chose them over a year ago - and they were so powerful even then. We always tend to put a lot of up tempo songs on our recordings, but this CD ended up with five slower songs such as "It is Well," "In the Garden," and "I Surrender All." With the loss of our grandson, Braxton, this past October, these hymns have already ministered to us even in this early stage of recording. Our prayer is that the finished work will be a powerful ministry to others, as the recording process has been to us. This has been a time of progressive healing for our family, as we trust a loving God Who is nothing but GOOD!
