RACHEL’S BLACK FOREST CHERRY CHEESECAKE

"Rach used to make this for Thanksgiving every year.  Poppa would always try to hide it so he could take the whole pie home with him.  It is one of his favorite desserts... And it should be yours, too!  Give it a try!"

RACHEL’S BLACK FOREST CHERRY CHEESECAKE

1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling 2 tbs. Hershey's cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 cup sugar 1 prepared 9 inch butter flavored pie crust. (I use Chocolate) 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

Preheat oven to 325F. In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add the sugar, HERSHEY'S cocoa, vanilla extract and eggs; mix well. Place pie crust on baking sheet. Pour the mixture into the crust. Bake for 35 minutes or until the filling springs back when touched lightly. Cool on a wire wrack. Spread cherry filling over the top. Chill until ready to serve.
