Manicotti
Sauce: 1 lb ground beef ½ chopped onion 1
jar spaghetti sauce ½ packet of Spaghetti mix Brown ground beef. Add
onions until cooked, then add sauce and mix. Bring to a boil, then allow
to simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Shells: Cook one box of jumbo shells in a 5
quart sauce pan according to directions on box.
Cheese stuffing for shells: 1 - 8 oz.
Container cottage cheese 1 – 8 oz package grated mozzarella cheese
Ground oregano In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, mozzarella, and
sprinkle with oregano. Mix well.
Stuff each jumbo shell with cheese mixture
and place in large baking dish in rows in a single layer. Cover the
shells with spaghetti sauce mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. (Goes
well with salad and garlic bread.)
