Tim Quick joined the United States Air Force in September 1981 under the delayed enlistment program and left for Basic Training the following February.  After Tech school, Tim was shipped off to Korea as his first base as an SP.  (Security Police.)  On March 24, 1983, Tim suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while on duty.  His family was told he would either die or be a vegetable.  Tim jokingly tells, "I'm not either one, I'm a nut!"  He accepted the option of cross-training into the medical field in order to stay in the Air Force.  He and Sally were married exactly one year later, March 24, 1984.  The next few years in the Air Force were quiet until Desert Storm.  Tim was deployed to Nocton Hall RAF in Lincolnshire, England in January 91.  After returning home, Tim spent the next years at Eglin working in hospital administration.  After having problems while doing a routine annual fitness exam in 2000, Tim went through a series of medical tests to discover he had a rare lung disease called Alpha-1 Antitripsyn Deficiency.  Tim was still able to perform his duties at the hospital, but not able to be deployed.  Not long after this, he chose to retire to answer the call to full time music ministry.
